Katherine leads our vision for vT Consulting Engineers by creating a fun and inspiring work environment built upon a foundation of compliance with high industry standards.
With over 20 years experience in the industry, Katherine has a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and has spent the last 10 years building operational capability and implementing a strategic framework to achieve our goal of making engineering easy.
Katherine directs a team of administrative staff who specialise in the fields of human resources, marketing and finance, who support her to manage the daily operational requirements of the company.
Jenelle is our structural team leader with over 20 years of experience in the industry. She has designed numerous retail projects from the Gold Coast up to Rockhampton, including Harbourtown, Lutwyche Central Redevelopment and several new Woolworths centres.
BEng Civil
Matthew brings extensive experience in the built environment and land development sectors across South-East Queensland. Known for his client-focussed approach, Matthew has successfully managed a wide range of projects, guiding clients through development approvals, operational works, and authority processes. His expertise also extends to project strategy, risk management, and construction support.
With over 15 years’ experience in the industry, Matthew has been committed to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients, with a particular focus on subdivision projects – his area of speciality.
BEng Civil
Lourens is a Senior Structural Engineer with 15 years of experience and a diverse portfolio covering commercial, educational, multi-residential, and industrial projects. His recent projects include several medium high-rise residential developments, a large heavy vehicle workshop, and a large-scale Battery Energy Storage System.
Passionate about collaboration, Lourens works closely with clients, architects, builders, and project managers to deliver projects. He has a special interest in the energy and industrial sectors.
Lourens and his dedicated team of engineers and drafters deliver efficient, well-considered structural solutions that prioritise performance, functionality, and meet the client needs while always looking for ways to add value to his clients projects.
Lyle joined vTCE in 2020, bringing with him over a decade of hands-on experience in commercial plumbing and civil drainage. His extensive construction background has equipped him with a deep understanding of practical, cost-effective design solutions, particularly in sewer and water infrastructure – areas in which he has a special interest.

vT Consulting Engineers (vTCE) is an established and exciting company in the Brisbane engineering scene offering a fresh and vibrant approach to civil and structural engineering design and civil contract administration. Our approach is to take a proactive and energetic attitude towards your project.
The staff at vTCE have the skills and experience to get your project completed on time and on budget. When presented with an engineering problem, we will investigate all possibilities until the best outcome is found that satisfies the engineering requirements at minimal cost.
We will regularly liaise with Council and Statutory Authorities to obtain approvals quickly and to also ensure that all approval conditions are in our client’s best interest.
Using the latest engineering software we are able to coordinate all services to avoid conflicts and ensure that there are minimal delays during construction.
